LOST Law of the Sea Treaty
  • The Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST) would extract global tax payments from the United States and transfer the revenue and the U.S. technology that generated it to Third World nations.
“Under the treaty, the transfer of these funds does not end with nation states,” they write. “These royalty revenues would even be extended to ‘peoples who have not attained full independence or other self-governing status.’ That means groups like the Palestinian Authority and potentially other groups with terrorist ties.
“Ceding authority to the International Seabed Authority in Jamaica (ISA) would mean that the sovereignty currently held by the U.S. over the natural resources located on large parts of the continental shelf would be lost. That loss would mean lost revenue for the U.S. government in the form of lost royalties that the U.S. government collects from the production of those resources,” the senators write.
Estimates are that the resources have a value in the range of “trillions.”
Top officials such as Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and Joint Chiefs Chairman Martin Dempsey have argued on behalf of the treaty before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
It seems that most Democrats want to go to socialism or a New World Order. I do not think that most Americans want to be ruled by a small group of rich and powerful people who do not care about anyone but themselves and how much profit they can make for themselves. Please write, call, or e-mail your Congressmen/women and tell them do NOT vote for LOST. Let us keep America the Home of the Free and the Brave. • Right on
  • Well written. This country started with nothing and then made it into something through the hard work of the people who came here. I will not be ruled by the UN. We must pay attention to the Rio+20 that is going on now, AKA Agenda 21. Hillary is there now representing this country. I only hope and pray that she does not give this country away to a corrupt UN.
  • Let's not give all the credit of the UN Sea Treaty to the Democrats, both Parites are into it.Phylilis Shalafly and Jim Demint resently declared "we need to get out of the UN Sea Treaty." Like a true politician they always only hear the People during the election cycle, making their promising statements and forget about it after the election. Sarah Palin endorsed the UN Sea Treaty and funds Agenda 21 out of her PAC.Let's not forget George "daddy" Bush's executive order 12803 that republicans like John Mica and Daniel Webster have been promting America's Infastructure to other nations and the companies of other nations, which means that nation.Their current Florida Transportation Bill sells and bulids Florida's HWYs through this policy. George "dubya" led the way on NAU and I don't remember a lot of democrats nor republicans yelling to the American People about what was going on. This policy has proved to be the trend of the republicans who called themsleves the Tea Party Conservatives.
